Arts Sponsorship Seminar

DATE:    Tuesday 30th March 2010 10.30 -12.30

VENUE:     The Burton Art Gallery, Kingsley Road, Bideford, North Devon EX39 2QQ

As part of Arts And Business' work with Devon County Council, they are running a number of seminars, surgery days and training sessions. These sessions are funded by Devon County Council, therefore there will be no charge.

What is sponsorship?  Why does business sponsor culture?  How do you create an effective sponsorship plan?  How do you approach potential sponsors? How can you effectively manage ongoing relationships with sponsors?

This popular and practical one-day course is designed to answer these questions and more.  Aimed primarily at people who have little or no experience of arts and cultural sponsorship, the course is also a great refresher for those who need reminding of the basic principles and practice.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Understand how to identify potential business sponsors
  • Develop a 5 point plan to secure and manage sponsorship
  • Understand what business needs from their sponsorships
  • Write compelling sponsorship proposals
  • Know how to maintain good and ongoing relationships with your sponsors

The seminar will commence at 10.30 pm and end at approximately 12.30 pm.
