Scratch Orchestra Salisbury

Dance Aware and OpenTone are offering a unique opportunity to create music for performance at Salisbury Arts Centre during the Easter holiday break on 13th and 14th April 2010.

It is ideal for people who want to learn composition and gain the confidence to improvise in groups. Although it£s aimed at people in their teens and twenties it£s open to all abilities, skills and ages. Whatever your instrument and even if you don£t have one (we have a sound from found expert) the Scratch Orchestra team welcomes you.

Scratch Orchestra Salisbury ingredients: take two days, up to 20 musicians with four professionals to guide you through developing an entirely fresh piece for performance. Each afternoon will feature a movement improvisation led by professional dancers and the event climaxes with a performance to an invited audience.

So, here are two great opportunities to get involved as a musician or be an audience member on the last day.

The Scratch Orchestra Salisbury team emphasises plenty of support to bring out the best in you. Call the Salisbury Arts Centre box office on 01722 321744 to book a place or find out more.
