Opportunity for Artist or Artist led partnerships

Artist or Artist led partnerships experienced in creating work for the public realm required for exemplary new 'Building Schools for the Future ' scheme to create new schools for East Bridgwater Community College, Somerset.  The post will involve a short residency starting in May within the schools and the architects, working towards the creation permanent work that is integrated with the new building

The school has been working with lead artist facilitator Kathryn Hodgkinson to consider possible approaches to this commission, there are some suggested themes within the brief but it is expected that the artists will use these as a basis for forming their own responses during development time at the school.

The new buildings are currently at design stage and it is expected that the artist will work within the design teams taking a collaborative approach and develop work that is integrated into the fabric of the building.

There is a total budget of £49k.  Please e-mail studio@hodgkinsonglass.co.uk for the full brief.
